Scotland the brave!

Macbeth-looking weather in EdinburghHey there!

Yes, yes, I know - I have been away for too long again... trying to do real work, drink a "couple" of pints and finding time to write these things!

Expecting to find William Wallace I went to Edinburgh a couple of weeks ago! It was crazy! The people are great - the weather...
Yes, well lets leave that there! There are loads of great places to go to and I did a bit of sight seeing! But yet again I set out to find the ever present Hard Rock Cafe!

The famous Hard Rock Cafe logoWell I found the place! Since we only went for a day, I decided to make the best of this one place! Lingo again found me at a loss for words... they didn't understand me and I could not, for the life of me, understand what they were babbling on about! But... yes there is always a but - the drinks were good, the lady's FINE and everybody seemed to get along!

Outside the Hard Rock Cafe in Edinburgh
I am still amazed about the amount of tourists from across the world you would get in these places! Its a "world wide" party and its wonderful to meet people from around the world!
Great times!

Have a great one!

Hard Rock casino?

Peter at the pub
It strikes me that I haven't been writing my experiences down! I have been neglecting my readers - I do applogise! I have been out there doing "my thing" though! Being a busy punter and a "use the moment guy" I dont always have a camera! I found the solution... my new Sony Ericsson K800i! Yes this beauty has a 3.2 mega pixel camera! Let the good times Roll!

Here are some of the things I have been up to over the last couple of weeks!

1. I've done the pub's

2. I've got the hangovers to prove my extensive research :-)

3. I have photos...

4. I have become notorious for being the one left to 'close the house down' most days...

Well, I will persevere, wipe the gunk out of my eyes, stop going surfing the Net, and start "working" for the punters out there who deserve to know what the hell I'm doing!

Here's me having a jolly ol' time with mates at another pub
I've been to London and Scotland - did the whole Hard Rock Cafe thing and now I am back to work! The Hard Rock franchise also includes a casino and games section and it was not long before I found myself wishing to be a winner! There are slots games and with the thought of responsible gaming ringing in my ears, I am drawn into a night of excitement and fun!

The London Hard Rock Casino is just a couple of yards from the Piccadilly underground station! Follow the lights and you will find the fun!

Enjoy the picks!

Paris Hard Rock Cafe

So I decided to go to Paris for Christmas...

As a regular punter, I decided to find a place that would be familiar to people from across the World. So I walked into the Hard Rock Cafe in Paris. The Hard Rock is a pub that you can find all over the world. I then and there decided that I would make it my mission to visit as many "Hard Rock Cafes" as I could! This also went a long way to showing everybody the amount of travel I've done!

To be fair, I quite liked the place, and except for the "miss" communications resulting from my BAD French, it is a nice place to party! The food is great, the music lives up to the standard of "Hard Rock" and the people are great! I would definitely recommend this place for a night out on the town! This is a more "upper Class" type of place, so if you want to impress the ladies - there you go!
You have a lot of celebrities coming over and on the walls you can appreciate the rock history! There are loads of things on the walls to make any true Rock fan go mad and each Cafe has its own collection!

There is a shop for merchandise and promotions run on a regular basis!
Enjoy - its a bit hard to find but go online and use search engines to get directions! I had a run in with my bad French, a underground map and getting lost in the worst parts of Paris at night! take my advise and use the internet!

That's it from me, time for a pint at the local pub,
Pete

How this would work I am still uncertain about… the only thing I can think of is where can I find one and who is the genius (must be a man) that invented it? This is the next best thing since… well since they invented BEER!

I could just imagine the possibilities of combining the two! The only worry I have is: Where is the version that would control men and what would the opposite sex make us do?

What I want for Xmas!

Merry Merry!

Well what to do the weekend? I am in the mood to go out again but where? That is rather the question? In a city that is littered with excellent places to party I find myself suddenly without a clue… It might be the holidays and all the Jolly, happy things goings on in the city. What is it about this time of year? The Christmas parties, office fiascos and other mishaps that we get up to… they all seem to conspire to create havoc rather than peace on earth…

So button up – I will endure and brave the Merry Scene and find yet another PUB to rate!

Pick up lines

Pick up lines that work…

Yes well were have we all read this one before?
Things that you could say that would actually work to get her to smile, is rather what you are looking for! A conversation starter or a quick smile from you is what you need. These mythical lines that idiots spout out to impress never work except if you like looking like a fool!

First thing first, do you have conversations skills? If you don’t, well that is your crash and burn moment… After you actually work up the nerve to say something like “hello” you would be expected to say something else? These first moments are crucial to get her to like you!

So walk in and get yourself a drink. Get a seat and start looking around.
Spot a likely girl, work up enough courage and walk over!
Remember you have nothing to loose but dignity and she can only say no!
Move on if she is not interested, do not seem desperate! Start conversations, look people in the eye, smile and learn from every encounter!

Good hunting lads!

Weekends party

So I did the London scene again this weekend - man it is cold! OK here we go!
1. Get in car with Hafiz (housemate) and drive to London.
2. Get out of car and find that I am in front of a pub called The George, know the pub - know how to get home from there!
3. Get on train and go to girlfriends house - getting dark and cold by now!
4. Get there, say hi and get back on the travelling system to head out to a mate to plan his bachelors party!
5. Not the adventure I assumed we would have - get lecture from girlfriend(his) about strippers... why do they always assume I can organise these things?
6. Go back to girlfriend - in the small hours of the night I stumble in...

Its Saturday - spend the day with another mate but go back to girlfriend for a party later on.
7. Get on the underground and get of at Westminster tube station. We head back into the street and find this little Italian place. Foods good, the drink is good but not really the party scene!
8. Head out to the Queen Mary. Now this is something different! The old passenger ship was revamped and now serves as a floating pub and nightclub.
9. Pay the £5 entry fee and head in to see whats up! Get a drink, greet everybody and start looking around.
10. Decide that its OK and settle in for a chat with the other people who pitched up for the same party.

Verdict on the place:
Bit slow, but has potential! The bar area is great and there are no long ques to get a drink!
Girls are OK, music is... well a bit slow - felt like a rehearsal for River dance!
But I think it depends on the company you keep - all in all looks good and is not to shabby!

Hope you have a shattering evening!

Drinks are on the house....

Welcome to Peter's Pub....

The place where you'll always find salty peanuts, good music, cold beer and rowdy patrons. At Peter's Pub you won't get kicked out for over indulging, in fact we encourage it!

So grab a seat, sit back relax and bottoms up
